Re: Standing Rules that the Board voted on at our Board Meeting on March 27, 2025
1. II Committees A. Standing Committee #3 Cassina Cookbook and Product Sales (pg. 89)
Committee shall be responsible for reporting, submitting monies and physical inventory of all Cassina products sold through cabin sales direct sales, vendors and retail outlets.
2. II Committees A. Standing Committees #5 Community Projects (pg. 89)
The COMMUNITY OUTREACH Committee shall identify needs and carry out projects in the community as aligned with our mission.
3. II Committees A. Standing Committee #6 Add Education Docent as #7 separate entity (pg. 90)
The EDUCATION Committee shall be responsible to train the school field trip docents and provide materials for their activities, including training guides. It shall schedule field trips with public and private school officials and coordinate the Cassina Garden Club school field trip docents to ensure that enough docents are present to conduct the field trips. It shall take pictures of the activities (e.g. showing only students’ backs or hands) during the field trips and shared share with the Cassina Garden Club webmaster.
4. II Committees A. Standing Committees #7 Field Trip/Workshop change to #8 (pg. 90)
It shall complete the list of planned field trips for the next Cassina year and have obtained Executive Committee approval by July 31st.
5. II Committees – A. Standing Committee #11 Membership (pg. 91)
The Chair(s) shall serve on the Nominating Committee.
6. II Committees A. Standing Committees #14 Program (pg. 90)
Proposed: Committee shall complete a list of all programs for the monthly Cassina meetings by July 31st.
7. II Committees A. Standing Committees #16 Website (pg. 91)
The WEBSITE Committee shall ensure the club’s website content aligned with and demonstrates the club’s mission; the website design and functionality to ensure it is updated and helpful; and confirming its content is accurate and user-friendly. Work closely with the Board and other Committee Chairs to promote their needs. Post registration information to include monthly meetings, field trips, etc., and post relevant membership information to the Member Resources Page. Monitor email messages sent to the club’s site and send queries to the correct Chair for action. Coordinate with the Treasurer to link online monetary transactions to the appropriate file, host and confirm the domain name and IPS service are paid annually. Collaborate with a designated web professional as needed.
8. II Committees B. Special Committees #5 (pg. 92)
The nomination(s) shall be presented to the Board and voted on by the membership at the March Club meeting.
9. III Membership Guidelines D. #5 (Pg. 94) By Kay Miles
Proposed: Continue to be an active docent every year to remain familiar with tabby cabin history.
10. III Membership Guidelines D. #6 Add after #5 (pg. 94)
#6 FIRST YEAR MEMBERS– are expected to attend docent orientation, serve as a docent and work in the gardens according to membership requirements in their first year.
