First-Year Active Member Form *

We welcome you as an “Active” Member of the Cassina Garden Club!

All “Active” Members have the same requirements. As a “First Year,” your “Committee” assignment is automatically “Cabin Docent,” which includes your training, sign up, and garden maintenance. You are invited to add additional interests on this form.

Please carefully consider the following responsibilities:

  • Resident of Glynn County for a minimum of six months of every calendar year

  • Actively participate in Club Activities

  • As determined by the 2024–2025 Membership Committee, beginning in 2025–2026, First-Year Active Members will be responsible for the following commitments:

    1) Attend at least three monthly meetings each year

    2) Attend the Tabby Cabins Docent Orientation

    3) Serve as a docent at the Tabby Cabins six times during the year (three times June-December and three times January-May)

    4) Utilize Sign Up Genius on the Cassina Garden website to sign up as a Docent for the Tabby Cabins

    5) Participate in the maintenance of the Gardens as specified by your year Membership and Gardens Committees on scheduled days and upon special request

  • Actively participate in the Club’s two major fundraisers:

    a) the Christmas Bake Sale by donating holiday baked good. If unable to contribute a baked item, the member will make a monetary donation specified by the Bake Sale Committee,

    b) and the Garden Walk by working prior to the event or the day of the event and purchasing one ticket

  • Keep yearly dues current ($130 + $5 for processing fee and includes cost for Cassina Yearbook). Dues do not include the cost of a Garden Walk ticket.

    New Article under III-Membership: All Cassina Garden Club members shall conduct themselves respectfully and appropriately during meetings, at events, and within the community.
