Annual Fundraising Events

In addition to the Annual Garden Walk and our Special Christmas Event, look for special functions that will be held from time to time at The Historic Tabby Cabins on Gascoigne Bluff.

Garden Walk
Since 2006, Cassina Garden Club has hosted a tour of several private gardens on St. Simons Island for the public viewing. This tour has evolved into a much loved annual event for visitors and residents alike.

Tour guests visit a variety of gardens, some planted and tended by the owners and others initiated by professional designers.

Guests are invited to tour St. Simons homeowner’s gardens located in several different neighborhoods such as Old Demere, Black Banks, Sea Palms West, Island Club at Retreat and Hampton Point. Docents are available at each location to provide information on garden designs, features and plantings.

The tour covers the gardens, a plant sale, the silent auction and entertainment at the cabins during the Garden Walk. The cabins are also open for tours during Garden Walk, conducted by members of the club. This is the main fundraiser for Cassina to maintain the cabins and gardens.

Special December Event
Cassina Garden Club’s Annual Special Christmas Event is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Historic Tabby Cabins and Gardens on Gascoigne Bluff, 1195 Arthur J. Moore Drive, St. Simons Island.

A local tradition, this event will include a Bake Sale and Market. The Sale provides an offering of tasty and festive homemade cakes, pies, breads and cookies plus holiday treats and gifts such as toasted pecans, jellies and jams. Our Christmas Market will feature fresh greenery and unique Christmas floral arrangements.

This event is open to the public.

The Interpretive Cabin is open to the public for tours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A $5 per person donation is suggested for this tour. These donations will provide additional support for the continued preservation of the cabins.
