As part of its Annual Luncheon entertainment, Cassina held its 7th Annual
Centerpiece Competition.  This year we had 17 beautiful arrangements. 
The winner of the Arrangement Competition this year was Jennifer Broadus.

As part of the Coastal Historical Society's celebration of Heritage Days, Cassina members spent a day at Oglethorpe Elementary School teaching  the first graders how to plant seeds.

Cassina celebrated its 81th birthday with Guest Speaker Linda Langston Copeland Co-author of "Legends in the Garden - Who in the World is Nellie Stevens?"

The Winner of this year's Photography Contest for the 2009 Garden Walk was announced at the luncheon.  It was Ann Nermoe, with Joanne Scott as runnerup.

In March, 2008, Phillis Harrell received the Community Award at the Coastal Heritage Exhibition for her painting of the Cassina Slave Cabins on Gascoigne Bluff.

Christmas Tour of Homes       (12/8/07)
Cassina held a very successful 23rd Christmas Tour on 12/8/07.  The 2007 Tour included six elegant island homes, Marsh's Edge, the most popular Bake Sale in the southeast and new this year, the Cassina Marketplace.

Cassina Gardens received official Wild Garden designation in late 2006.
